Interview with Dan Pearson on his excellent website: http://greenfuse.danpearsonstudio.com/
Very useful site from RHS for finding suitable plants for your specific garden:
Have everything you could possibly need and deliver around Ireland…and no I am not affiliated in any way.
The boathouse on this estate is amazing especially the decking around it. There is a separate page on the site detailing the comprehensive work they did to the gardenswell worth a read.
Monty Don returns with a new series documenting Italian gardens. According to the BBC press release:
Monty Don journeys from the south of Italy to the north, visiting some of the country’s most beautiful, impressive and interesting gardens along the way in Monty Don’s Italian Gardens. From lovingly-created romantic hiding places to enormous formal gardens of the Catholic Church, this four-part series is bursting with great characters, compelling stories and captivating insights.
There is an eight week landscape gerdening course in Dublin Institute of Design:
I first heard about Juan Grimm during Monty Don’s excellent series: Around the world in 80 Gardens also an excellent book (Around-World-80-Gardens-Complete).
On that episode they profiled Juan’s garden called Los Vilos at his house outside Santiago. This has to be one of the most amazing gardens I have ever seen, the way it blends seamlessly into the landscape and uses natural rock pools as features…genius.
